Transmasculine

Whether you're a trans man or masculine nonbinary person, there are some things you can do to help alleviate some of the effects of genders dysphoria before you can start HRT or get surgery (if you choose/want to). Always be safe with these things and listen to your body.

Binding

There are different ways to bind your chest. If you don't have access to a proper binder, there are some things you can do to make your chest appear flatter. NEVER USE ACE BANDAGES OR DUCT TAPE. The first method is to double layer sports bras. Never use more than 2. Another way is to use a cami tank top, fold it up over your chest, then put a sports bra over. If you want to buy a binder, buy from a store that specializes in binders. Never get a binder through Amazon or a homemade one. A common company you can buy one from is gc2b. They have a size scale to measure yourself to so you can properly fit it. Never get one too small for yourself. That can be very dangerous. If you have a binder, make sure to be safe. Make sure it's the right size for your chest. Never wear it for more than 8 hours. If you are starting with your first binder, work your way up to 8 hours. Wash it regularly, but always hand wash it and hang dry it. Never swim or exercize in your binder. If it begins to feel tight and you have troubles breathing, take off immediately. Listen to your body. If it no longer fits, get a bigger size. If the old binder is in good condition, you can donate it.

Another method of binding is using TransTape. It lasts longer (up to 5 days) and it is waterproof/sweatproof. The downside of TransTape is that the adhesive can cause skin irritation if not taken off properly. There are videos on YouTube showing you how to put it on/take it off. Always be safe and listen to your body.

Packing

Packing is a method to make it appear as if you have male lower genitalia. It is always best to buy a packer. If you can't there are ways you can make your own. A common one is using a clean pair of socks. Do your research before getting and/or using a packer.

Voice Exercises

There are ways to safely deepen your voice before going on testosterone if you so choose to. There are YouTube videos you can find, but it is safest to go through a voice coach or voice teacher. If your throat starts to get sore or starts to hurt, stop and give yourself a break. While doing them, make sure you drink water. Results will take time to be apparent. It will take time, but it will be worth it if you choose to do this.

Other

There are other things you can do to make yourself more comfortable and alleviate some of the distressed caused by gender dysphoria. Wear whatever clothes you want to. You can do makeup to make your face appear more masculine. You can also socially transition (go by your preferred name/pronouns). If you have something that works for you and is safe, that's what you should do. Always be safe and listen to your body.
