Detransition Fears

The media of today likes to highlight those that detransition and make it a big deal. The reality is that it is not very common. Only 8% of people detransition. There are about 1.4 million transgender people in the United States. 8% of that is only about 112,000 people. That is very insignificant compared to the amount of people that there are. That also doesn't account for those that haven't fully transitioned or have legally changed their gender marker. You should still support trans people to the fullest extent. Just because some people realized they were actually cisgendered doesn't mean we shouldn't support or help those that are trans.
