What is The Local Trans Bees?
We are a place dedicated to spreading information about the trans community. There is a lot of misinformation out there and we want to help. This is a safe place for both trans people and allies. Whether you're new or seasoned to this, you're welcome here.
Why is this so important?
According to a study done in 2015 by USTS, "Forty percent (40%) [trans people] have attempted suicide in their lifetime, nearly nine times the rate in the U.S. population (4.6%)." This number was just in 2015. It's gotten higher since then. We need to educate more people on these issues to prevent this from happening. As well, creating a safe place for trans people can help them figure out who they are, helping their overall mental health.
