Identities

A list of trans identities and their definitions. Remember, gender is a spectrum. There are those on and off the binary. All are valid and should be treated as such. If there were any missed, please let us know. We will fix it and add it as soon as possible.

Transgender Male

A person that was born female and identifies as male. They will transition to male if they so choose. They usually go by he/him pronouns. 

Transgender Female

A person that was born male and identifies as female. They will transition to female if they so choose. They usually go by she/her pronouns.

Nonbinary

A person that doesn't fall under male or female. This is an umbrella term that has many subterms. Those will be explained below.

Agender

A person that does not identify with any gender. They may present as masculine, feminine, or androgynous. They do not owe anyone androgyny to be valid. They usually go by they/them.

Genderfluid

A person who's gender is not fixed on male, female, or in between. Their gender identity varies and changes based on how they feel. Their pronouns may vary from moment to moment.

Demi-girl

A person that does not identify fully with the female gender. They usually go by she/they pronouns.

Demi-boy

A person that does not identify fully with the male gender. They usually go by he/they pronouns.

Bigender

A person that identifies with both the male and female gender. Unlike genderfluid, their identity does not change. They usually go by he/she.

Bigenderflux

A person that fluctuates between identifying with the male and female gender. Like genderfluid, their pronouns may vary from moment to moment.

Genderqueer

A person that does not identify with the gender binary. It is another term for nonbinary. It is up to the person which term they use.
